Baqus Group acquires Nigel Rose
London-based surveyor Baqus Group Plc has acquired local rival Nigel Rose Group for an undisclosed sum.
Nigel Rose comprises surveying business Nigel Rose LLP, as well as a project management division, Nigel Rose Management. In the nine months ending December 2008, Nigel Rose generated operating profits of £246,000.
Clive Sayer, chief executive of Baqus, commented: "Working closely with the key people at Nigel Rose, we have identified a number of areas when we can expand the business while, at the same time, reducing costs. More importantly, it will increase the number of sectors in which we have a significant presence."
In the six months ending December 2008, Baqus reported revenues of £3.9 million and pre-tax profits of £365,000.
