Micro buys Liant
for $5m

Done deals:

  • Micro Focus International Plc has acquired US firm Liant Software Corporation for $5 million (£2.5 million) cash, in order to improve its business development software services

  • Four Seasons Group, an air conditioning installation and maintenance business, has acquired its rival High Wycombe-based HM Air Cooling

  • Forbo Siegling has bought rival conveyor belt manufacturer Fenner’s US-based lightweight conveyor belt operation for $7.8 million (£3.9 million)

  • VP Plc, an equipment hire group, has acquired the tools and telehandler fleet of construction company UCS Plant for £900,000

  • National Milk Records Plc has purchased the Muscle and Backfat scanning division of Innovis Plc for £40,000 cash in order to bolster its livestock genetic enhancement services

  • Agri-Energy, a renewable energy division of Irish Food Processors, has bought Enva's Foodservice Solutions waste cooking oils and fats business as it looks to convert waste biomass into biodiesel

  • Optic Vision has acquired Silent Knight Technologies, in order to bolster its information security software services
