Funding puts growth in the frame

Leeds-based entrepreneur Paul Ross is to expand his business after receiving a funding package of more than £1 million. The capital will allow Ross to extend his designer sunglasses range into more Wal-Mart and QVC stores.

Asset-based lender Leumi ABL worked in conjunction with its parent company Bank Leumi UK Plc to supply PNR Trading with an invoice finance facility, stock finance, trade finance, and commercial banking facilities.

Ross has grown his import wholesale designer sunglasses business to a seven-figure turnover operation. PNR Trading started four years ago and now imports designer sunglasses and frames from Italy.

John Walsh, Leumi ABL regional sales manager for Leeds and the North East, said: “Paul has a great business proposition – it’s clear that he has a solid, well managed business with strong growth ambitions.”

Leumi ABL works with businesses which have funding requirements from £500,000 to £25 million. Services include invoice discounting to improve cashflow, combined with stock lending, and plant & machinery finance to further enhance funding. In conjunction with Bank Leumi (UK) Plc, facilities can include trade finance, property finance and commercial banking
