Darbyshire Group acquires TPT Construction
Preston-based construction company Darbyshire Group has acquired Welsh firm TPT Construction for an undisclosed sum.
Gareth Darbyshire, the founder of Darbyshire Group, intends to build his portfolio of construction companies into a £50 million group.
Swansea-based TPT specialises in providing construction services to local authorities and is currently involved in developing schools and hospital extensions across Wales.
The Manchester office of law firm Brabners Chaffe Street LLP represented the sellers in the deal. Corporate partner Ruth Jones led a team including Simon Lewis in corporate, Paul Nicholls in property, Joanne Holbrook in environment and Charlotte Round in banking.
Jones commented, “We played a pivotal role in overcoming the funding issues presented by the current economic climate and we negotiated a creative deal structure to ensure the deal was completed.”
Other advisers include Knightsbridge Business Sales Plc.
