Alamo Group Europe’s €15m French buy
Done deals:
- Infrastructure maintenance equipment supplier Alamo Group Europe has acquired Rivard Developpement, a French manufacturer of vacuum trucks and jetting equipment, for some €15 million (£11.9 million)
- Everbuild Building Products has purchased the Kwikgrip brand of DIY tapes and flooring products in a bid to bolster its offering
- Bakery chain Sayers has been bought out of administration by its management, led by chairman Sandy Birnie, and renamed Sayers the Bakers
- Engineering firm Kanban Group has purchased metal pressing company Indmar Sheet Metal out of administration for £250,000
- Gambling units manufacturer and support services group IGT-UK has acquired mobile phone gaming company Million 2-1
Deals in the pipeline:
- The Chelsea building society is in talks to acquire the Catholic Building Society
- Dubai World, the investment arm of the Dubai government, is looking to buy industrial property developer and manger Gazeley
- Thomas Cook has agreed to purchase French tour operator Jet Tours for €70 million (£55.5 million)
