Deal Headlines Wednesday 25th

In today's headlines deals signed off include Vista Equity's £186 million for diagnostic information business Misys. Elsewhere, Metrocapital Information has floated on PLUS, raising £175,000.

* Wolfson Microelectronics, an LSE-quoted supplier of semiconductors for consumer electronic products, has acquired micro-acoustic technologies developer Sonaptic for an initial $24.8 million (£12.1 million)

* Software and services provider Misys plc’s diagnostic information business has been bought by private equity firm Vista Equity Partners for $381.5 million (£186 million)

* Jardine Lloyd Thompson plc has acquired Bermuda-based Park Bermuda for $11.8 million (£5.75 million) creating the island's largest independent insurance broker

* Lexia has acquired Life Environmental Services and its four specialist companies, adding to its environmental solutions group

* Investment vehicle Metrocapital Information has floated on PLUS raising £175,000 with a market cap of £2.62 million

* Business partners Nicola and Dominic Fussell have bought their fourth children’s nursery for £450,000

* Dublin-based information solutions company Experian plc has acquired financial services software provider N4 solutions for undisclosed terms

In the pipeline:

* Bermuda-based Ariel Holdings has made a recommended cash offer of £193 million for Atrium Underwriting plc, hoping to grow its insurance portfolio

* Oil and gas exploration and production firm JKX Oil & Gas plc is set to acquire Russian-based gas field Koshekhablskoye subject to shareholders' consent for $50 million (£24.4 million) cash

* Cityblock Holdings, a company owned by property developer and leaser CityBlock plc, is being bought by former director John Trevor Bargh’s non-trading City Portfolio firm for an undisclosed sum

* Investment vehicle Rapid Realisation Fund plans to raise £60 million with an admission onto AIM on August 2 this year

* Specialised insurance firm the R3 Group has acquired Forces Travel, a travel and holiday provider to the armed services, for an undisclosed sum

* Engineering group FKI plc is looking for a seller after recent drops in the company’s share price with a current market cap of £672.07 million

* Kesa Electricals is to buy specialist electrical retailer Spanish-based EMH for €100 million (£66.9 million) adding to its electrical retail operation

* Pub group Admiral Taverns has added £760 million to a total fund of £1 billion, set-up for acquisitions
