IPT buys French online marketer
A British company has strengthened its presence in the online marketing sector after completing its second European acquisition. Interactive Prospect Targeting (IPT), which already has a French operation, has bought email marketing business NP6 from its management.The deal could be worth some £6.7 million if agreed financial targets are met by the end of 2008. IPT paid £3.38 million in cash on completion, which was funded by debt. Any additional payment will be satisfied in cash and shares.
Following the deal NP6 will continue to be led by president Stephane Zittoun, network manager Cedric Notario and chief technology officer Jerome Laplace.
IPT provides online direct marketing to more than 1,000 organisations and companies in the UK and France. Its clients include American Express, ebookers and The Open University.
Bordeaux-based NP6 was founded in 1999 and delivers more than 300 million email messages each month on behalf of 140 blue-chip clients including Cdiscount, ChateauOnline and Cultura.com. It currently has 26 employees.
