HSI makes deal number four
Howard Sandcliffe Investments (HSI) has continued its plan to create a building services group after announcing the acquisition of Fenland Flat Roofing.
The financial agreement between the two parties has not been disclosed, but this latest deal has built a group with a £40 million turnover.
“Fenland has a well established client base and an excellent order book going into next year and is therefore an ideal basis to grow this business,” HSI managing director Nicholas Bewes said.
HSI was advised by Stephen Harris, a director at accountancy firm Mazars, who has worked on its previous acquisitions.
Harris said Mazars formulated a deal that worked for everyone as well as identified a banker with a complementary outlook and project manage the deal. “HSI seeks to acquire profitable, maintainable businesses with good day-to-day management teams,” he added.
Cambridgeshire-based Fenland was established in 1976 and examples of its work include the HSBC Canary Wharf building and the aircraft museum at Duxford.
