Microsoft-owned Razorfish acquires Wysiwyg

- Microsoft-owned global digital marketing firm Razorfish has acquired Wysiwyg, a Spanish digital advertising agency offering digital services across a range of platforms, including video and mobile. The terms of the deal were undisclosed
- Stadium Group Plc, an AIM-listed provider of Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) and power solutions, has acquired EMS provider Zirkon for a net cash consideration of £2.5 million. Read more
- Hamworthy, a global designer and manufacturer of marine, onshore and offshore fluid handling systems, has acquired 79 per cent of Poland-based Baltic Design Centre, a privately-owned ship design business, for a cash consideration of some £500,000. Read more
- Bournemouth-based Bath Business Travel has acquired London-based travel management company Baxter Hoare Travel for an undisclosed sum
- Altus Group Income Fund, a real estate consultancy with offices in the UK and Canada, has completed the acquisition of Canadian-based Capital Planning Solutions Inc. Altus financed the deal with a combination of cash, debt and equity, though no figures were provided
- UK-based Northgate Information Solutions, a provider of services to the public sector and utilities markets, has completed the £54.3 million purchase of international software and solutions company Anite Public Sector Holdings, also based in the UK
- Qioptiq Coatings, a Plympton-based precision thin film optical coating company, has been acquired in a management buy-out. Following the deal – which was completed for an undisclosed sum – the business will trade as Artemic Optical
- UK company Murco Petroleum has confirmed the £51.6 million acquisition of Petrol Express, also based in the UK, from its parent company GNE Group
- Global private equity firm the Carlyle Group has acquired Gardner Group, a UK supplier of metallic aerostructure details, equipment and engine components to the global aviation industry. The terms of the deal were undisclosed
In the pipeline
- Oxford Catalysts, a UK-based catalyst developer, has agreed to acquire US peer Velocys, a designer of microchannel process technology for the production of synthetic fuels and commodity chemicals, from science development organisation Battelle Memorial Institute. The deal was completed for US$35 million (£21.4 million)
