Hutton Collins invests in Everis
Done Deals
• Hutton Collins has invested €31.5 million (£25 million) into IT consultancy firm Everis, upping its stake to 10.84 per cent and becoming its third largest shareholder
• The National Bank of Greece has decided to take a 9.68 per cent stake in Turkish Finansbank for $697 million (£375.2 million)
• Australia’s largest investment bank Macquarie has finalised the takeover of Condor Ferries, the biggest Channel Islands ferry company, for an undisclosed sum
• UK distribution company, Nield Group has been bought by its management. The deal was backed by Venture Structured Finance for £10 million
• US-based Confie Seguros, a provider of car insurance with an emphasis on serving Hispanic consumers, has acquired car insurance brokerage West Coast Auto Insurance Services for an undisclosed sum
• Industrial services provider MISCOR Group has acquired California-based Visalia Electric Motor Shop, a repair, maintenance and overhaul provider for motors and generators. The terms of the deal have not been revealed
• ForteBio, a supplier of label-free technology to life science and pharmaceutical companies, has secured $25 million (£13.5 million) in funding from OrbiMed Advisors
• Finance Cornwall has invested an undisclosed sum into Lanish Group, operator of the five-star Gwel an Mor holiday resort in Portreath

• Washington Mutual, a large US savings and loan company crippled by mortgage losses, has approached private equity firms about a potential takeover after listed firms showed reluctance to acquire it, reports say
• Help the Aged and Age Concern England are looking to form a new charity in April after both charities' boards backed the measure
• Bloomsbury Publishing has announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Oxford International Publishers trading as Berg Publishers, an independent academic publishing company, for £2 million
• NetDimensions, a provider of performance, knowledge and learning management systems, has acquired a 25 per cent interest in Peak Pacific Asia’s eLearning company for $250,000 (£134,000)
• Intel Capital, Intel’s global investment arm, has announced that it will acquire a $20 million (£10.8 million) stake in Telligent Systems, makers of social computing solutions and business intelligence tools
• The Pepsi Bottling Group announced that it has agreed to acquire Lane Affiliated Companies, the eighth largest Pepsi bottler in the United States
• Grange Resources and iron ore miner Australian Bulk Minerals have agreed to an all-share $718 million (£324 million) merger
