LDC steers into Leasedrive acquisition

Done Deals

• LDC, the private equity arm of Lloyds TSB has acquired Leasedrive Velo, a UK vehicle management group, in an £80 million secondary buy-out

• Teleset Networks, a Russian telecoms company, has completed the acquisition of 51 per cent of OOO Simbirsky Telecommunications Systems for $15.7 million (£8.7 million)

• Fruit and vegetable importer Total Produce has bought 60 per cent of two Dutch companies, Haluco and Nedalpac in a 23 million (£18.6 million) double deal

• Allied Irish Bank has completed the purchase of a 49.9 per cent stake in Bulgarian bank BABC for 216 million (£175.3 million)

• Irish online recruiter Saongroup.com has expanded into Central America with the acquisition of Tecoloco.com for just over $3 million (£1.6 million)

• German utility company RWE has bought a minority stake in UK wind farm turbine manufacturer Quietrevolution for 7.5 million (£6 million)

• Swiss firm DEFI Gestion has acquired cable machinery company Plumettaz for an undisclosed sum

• German-based SVT Group has undergone a management buy-out for an undisclosed sum

• US-based GSI Group, which manufactures lasers, scanners and other products for the medical and aerospace industry, has announced the $347.5 million (£192.6 million) of Excel Technology

• Interline, a distributor and direct marketer of maintenance, repair and operations products, has acquired Eagle Maintenance Supply, a distributor of janitorial and sanitary supplies to the institutional marketplace. The deal amount was undisclosed

• Bruker AXS has bought Surface Imaging Systems for an undisclosed sum

In the pipeline

• Niger Uranium is to purchase 74 per cent of Namakwa Uranium, owner of the South African Henkries uranium deposit, for $1.75 million (£970,000)
