• ITV, through its US-based entity Granada America, has bought a 10 per cent stake in digital studio Electric Farm Entertainment, for an initial $2 million (£1 million)

• Amlin Plc has acquired £20 million of general commercial motor fleet insurance from HCC Underwriting Agency

• GE Commerical Finance has provided a £1.7 million funding package to facilitate the merger of NBW and Nationwide Frame Services, which will now trade as NBW Nationwide

• E-commerce services provider Screen Pages has announced an MBO from Pindar Graphics

• RCapital, a private investment business, has purchased The Art Group, an art publishing company, for an undisclosed sum.

• Asian investment bank Nomura has reached an agreement to invest $16 million (£8 million) in Real Image Media, an Indian-based digital media company

• BNP Paribas, a French bank, will buy a stake in Anglo-Dutch bank Insinger de Baeufort, and merge it with its Dutch and UK operations, creating a £7.9 billion asset manager

• Northgate Information Solutions will acquire Anite’s local government and secure information systems businesses for £54.3 million

• B&Q owner Kingfisher has agreed to sell its Italian business, Castorama, to Groupo Adeo for £440 million, which will help to reduce Kingfisher’s net debt

• Spanish utility company Endesa is in talks to buy power plants in Dublin, Co Wexford and Tarbert from Viridian, for an estimated 450 million (£354 million)
