• Law firm Vincents has expanded its business in Preston with the acquisition of Jeff Brailsford Rimmer & Co
• Hamilton Rentals, an IT and AV equipment rental company, has been bought by its management after securing £9.5 million from Royal Bank of Scotland
• Picsolve International, a provider of photographic systems and services for theme parks, has undergone a £33 million management buy-out backed by Fidelity Equity Partners and Royal Bank of Scotland
• Meighs Casting, a Stoke-based metals manufacturer, has been bought by US firm MetalTek International for an undisclosed sum
• Sportsman Gun Centre has bought fire arms retailer D J Litt from its administrator
• Photo-Me International Plc has sold Auto Photo Systems, its US vending business, to Jean-Claude Perrottey, one of its employees
• German painting and decorating tools firm Color Expert has bought the decorating products businesses of Yorkshire companies Hallsbeeline and Stanley
• Wright Printing Services has been bought by Ian Wright and Emma Dutton from its founder’s children for an undisclosed sum

• Speciality chemicals supplier Yule Catto has agreed to sell four of its companies in France and Spain to Rockwood Specialities Group for £36.5 million
• Spanish food group Grupo has signed an agreement to buy the Bertolli olive oil and vinegar business from Unilever for £501 million
