Done deals:

• Gooch & Housego Plc, a specialist manufacturer of optical components and systems, is set to take control of General Optic, a Californian supplier of optical components and coatings to the aerospace and defence sector, from GSI Group for $21 million (£10.6 million)
• Weir Group Plc has bought a 75 per cent stake in Standard Oilfield Services, an oil equipment services business based in Back, Azerbaijan, for C$12 million (£8 million). The company will become part of Weir Oil & Gas Division
• Fintech powerhouse SunGard has expanded into Europe with the acquisition of Ireland’s Delphi Technologies, a provider of IT consulting and professional services to banks and insurers. The terms of the deal remain undisclosed
• Burton-on-Trent’s Nord Anglia Education is about to change hands for £190 million. Baring Asia Private Equity Fund IV agreed a 460p per share recommended cash offer for the international schools group. The offer represents a premium of a 61 per cent premium to the average closing price of 286p for the three months ended 6 June
• Marine Track, a West Sussex-based telematics firm, is set to be taken over by XSN in a £1.5 million reverse takeover
• Thermal Energy International of Canada has acquired Gardner Energy Management, a Bristol-based steam traps manufacturer, for £2.7 million
• Barclays Private Equity has acquired joint ownership of the Konrad Hornschuch group together with the company’s management. The previous owners, DZ Equity Partner of Frankfurt, and the L-EA mid-market fund of the Karlsruhe-based L-Bank, have agreed to sell their stakes in the manufacturer of aesthetic laminates, high-tech synthetics and premium artificial leathers for undisclosed terms
• Reynolds Sports has acquired Lincoln-based Impsport, a specialist sports clothing company with sales of more than £1.1 million, from managing director Dan Ellmore. The terms of the Impsport deal remain undisclosed
