Italian buy does the job for Brammer

Done deals:

  • CPP Group has raised £130 million of expansion capital, led by Barclays with backing from Lloyds TSB, HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland and Allied Irish Bank.

  • Brammer plc, an industrial services group, has acquired Italian company Tecnoforniture for £8.6 million in a bid to bolster its operations in Italy

  • Biophan Technologies, a developer of biomedical technology, has acquired the patent portfolio of Nanoset in order to bolster its operations

  • Processed food producer Meat Express has been bought in a management buy-out by newco MB Meat Express

  • Oil & gas engineer Acteon has purchased Singapore's CAPE Group, a specialist provider of pipeline, foundations and piling services to the same sector
  • Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures has led a €22 million (£17.5 million) second round of funding for Ubidyne, a developer of digital radio technology for the wireless industry


Deals in the pipeline:

 

  • High street insurer Swinton has agreed to buy the insurance division of Secure Trust Bank plc, as part of the group’s restructuring and disposal process
