• International Marketing & Sales Group has acquired Elektrik IIetisim Organizasyon Hizmetleri, in line with building its sales & marketing operations in emerging markets, for up to $25 million (£12.6 million)

• Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation plc, a diversified natural resources group with its operations in Kazakhstan, has bought a 50 per cent stake in Brazilian-based iron-ore producer Bahia Mineracao for $300 million (£151 million)

• Hornby plc, a models and collectibles company, has purchased the die-cast model business Corgi Classics for up to £8.3 million

• Engineering and construction group Balfour Beatty has acquired the US-based military accommodation business PPP, for $350.5 million (£176.5 million)

• Wilton Engineering Services, a supplier of bespoke fabrications to the oil and gas market, has bought Project Design and Management Services in a bid to expand its technical support, engineering and project management services

• Ideal Bathrooms has purchased Scotland-based bathroom products distributor Inline Distribution

• Plastics firm Cope Allman Plastic Packaging has acquired Jaycare from its administrators KPMG in a bid to bolster its offering

• Commercial and technology practice Trevor Robinson & Co has merged with rival law firm Watson Burton

• Stiller Group has bought rival James Durrans Transport, the bulk powder transport division of James Durrans & Sons

• Industrial manufacturer and calibrator PowerKut has increased its offering with the purchase of AJ Mare Instruments
