Done deals:

 

  • Sovereign Reversions plc has acquired The Welfare Dwellings Trust for an initial £8 million in order to increase its real estate offering

  • Lovejuice, the UK’s premier smoothie and juice bar operator backed by Smedvig Capital, has acquired Barefruit Juice, a chain of juice bars

  • Cyril Sweett plc has bought Nisbet and Nisbet Project Safety for £5.9 million, in a bid to increase its construction and property consultancy services

  • Sovereign Capital, a private equity buy-and-build specialist, has acquired fabric maintenance provider Lord via its portfolio company Kinetics. The acquisition is the fifth for the overall group in the past 15 months

Deals in the pipeline:

 

  • Aricom plc, a mineral mining company, has bought purchase options for two mining interests in Russia, for $22.5 million (£11.3 million) each

  • US-based PharmAthena, a biological and chemical attack countermeasure company, is set to acquire Avecia Biologics for $20 million (£10 million), in order to boost its services
