  • Financial services firm Midas Capital plc has raised £10.5 million with a share placing

  • Factual media company Ten Alps plc has acquired B2B publishing company Sovereign Publications for some £2.6 million

  • DCC plc, a business support services firm, has acquired oil distribution business Southern Counties Fuels Holdings, for €9.75 million (£7.45 million) cash

  • Mortgage packager The Mortgage Operation has undergone a management buy-out

  • Biopharmaceuticals company Alizyme has raised £10 million with a share placing

  • Bradfords Group has acquired WJ Handrahan & Son, adding to its timber supply operations

  • Private equity firms Cognetas and Englefield Capital have bought utility and telecommunications provider Morrison Utility Services, along with the company’s management. The deal amount was £135 million

  • Financial services firm First London Securities has acquired Torus IB, a holding company for fund management boutiques, for £26 million
