In today’s deal headlines online research provider Taylor Nelson Sofres plc has boosted its financial sector offering with the acquisition of Prospera Research and Syndicate Asset Management has bought Independent Financial Solutions for £4 million

Done deals:

•    Online research provider Taylor Nelson Sofres plc has acquired Stockholm-based Prospera Research AB in order to grow its syndicated services in the financial sector across the Nordic region

•    Cambridge-headquartered technology business Camrivox has raised £1.2 million from investors with a view to developing its main computer telephony integration software product, Flexor, an application targeted at the SME market

•    The Engine Group has purchased direct marketing agency Partners Andrew Aldridge together with its data division Fuel Data Strategies for £9 million

•    City-based investment specialist Syndicate Asset Management, has completed the £4 million purchase of Essex-based Independent Financial Solutions for £4 million – its ninth acquisition in just over two years

•    Quality and safety services provider Intertek has bought Bioclin, a pharmaceutical testing laboratory based in Ireland, for £2.4

Deals in the pipeline:

•    Retail and loyalty systems business Universe is in the process of acquiring AIB Services and WSF Services in a bid to strengthen its car wash and valeting services subsidiary Jet Set

•    Money Portal has agreed to purchase Bristol-based financial adviser network Burns-Anderson for £14.2 million, growing the company’s adviser total by 500
