Today's headlines

In today’s deal headlines Ireland’s Ion Equity has backed the MBO of fuel supplier Blue Ocean Associates Group and UK automotive components supplier LVW Senar has acquired WM Rollings for £2 million

Done deals:

  • LVW Senar, a UK-based engineering and automotive components supplier, has acquired rival outfit WM Rollings for £2 million in a bid to up the company’s annual turnover from £4 million to £6.7 million
  • Engineering firm Rotork has bought a valve testing product from Drallim Industries to the tune of £630,000 cash
  • UTV Media plc has completed the £5 million purchase of the Internet Business (Tibus) through holdco Holbeck Enterprises with a view to integrating Tibus into UTV’s New Media division
  • Infinity Bio-Energy has signed a joint venture with Disa Overseas for approximately $75 million (£38 million)
  • Dublin-based PE investor Ion Equity has expanded its portfolio with the addition of fuel supplier Blue Ocean Associates Group by way of an MBO thought to value the business in the range of €150-200 million (£111-149 million)


Deals in the pipeline:

  •  Following a strategic review, and subject to shareholder approval, Debtmatters Group plc is planning the disposal of its IVA Book to Grant Thornton and Totemic for £6.4 million, and the sale of the residual Debtmatters business to Creditflex Group for £800,000
