UK entrepreneur Chris Mottershead has broadened the portfolio offering of his online holiday group Travelzest plc, with the acquisition of tour specialist Malaysia Experience from Bob Mortimore Travel for £45,000.

The brand will become part of Travelzest portfolio company Faraway Holidays, a specialist in luxury tailor-made holidays and tours to Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Thailand, and is set to enrich Faraway Holiday’s exotic destination offering with the addition of several new destinations in Malaysia.

Since its launch by Travelzest in August 2006, Faraway Holidays has achieved more than £1.5 million turnover. 

Commenting on his most recent purchase, serial acquirer Mottershead commented: “The Malaysia Experience brand, with its reputation for providing high quality tailor-made holidays, is an excellent fit with Faraway Holidays. This is a great opportunity to enhance the range of destinations offered by Faraway Holidays, our Far East specialist, and to continue to develop this business.”
