Grafton extends its boundaries
Builders merchant Grafton Group has increased its services with the acquisition of Boundary Bathrooms for an undisclosed sum.
The acquired firm is a 61-year-old Lancashire-based designer and installer of tailored bathrooms, showers and saunas.
The business was established in 1946 and has been run by three generations of the Dent family. Boundary was bought for an undisclosed sum by Grafton at the end of September.
The deal was structured by BTG McInnes Corporate Finance and has resulted in 100% of the company shares sold to Grafton. The acquirer owns builders and plumbers merchants, DIY retailers and dry mortar manufacturing operations, it turned over more than £2.0 billion in 2006.
Neil and Andrew Dent remain with the business that they took over from their father Allan.
Alexis Loukaides of BTG McInnes said: “Boundary is a good business in a traditional market that has used technology and the net to make great headway in recent years Its service offering and product range has gives it a great platform to grow with the increased resources it now has access to.”
