Rok cements £3.2 million deal

Rok has expanded its building, maintenance and development services with the £3.2 million acquisition of S. Harrison Construction.

The deal comprises £800,000 settled in Rok shares and £2.4 million cash funded from existing facilities.

An application will be made to the UK Listing Authority for 360,412 ordinary shares at 2p to be admitted on the London Stock Exchange small cap exchange.

In the year to August 14, 2007 Rok’s pre-tax profit stood at £11.2 million on £431.5 million turnover. The firm’s market cap is currently £407.9 million, with shares up over 3% at close of trading yesterday.

Harrison was founded in 1952 and operates principally in Yorkshire providing construction and building services to a wide range of clients. Harrison, which employs 80 staff, will form part of Rok's Northern operations.
