Done Deals:

Graphite Capital has backed the management buyout of a premier London health and fitness club, The Third Space Group, for £22 million

Boroughbridge travel agency Spears Travels has undergone a management buyout for an undisclosed amount

Fleming Family & Partners Private Equity has acquired a majority stake in mail order catalogue furnishings business Oka for undisclosed terms

Private equity firm Penta Capital’s Out of Town Restaurant Group has been bought by former owner Lawrence Wosskow in a deal reported to be worth about £5 million

Draper Fisher Jurvetson, the Silicon Valley-based firm responsible for backing Hotmail and Skype, has acquired a strategic stake in the Esprit Capital Partners for an undisclosed sum

Phoenix Equity Partners has acquired a majority stake in specialist clothes business Musto, which caters for the sailing, equestrian, shooting and fishing communities

Accountancy firm Wenham Major, founded 140 years ago, has acquired HKM Accountants for an undisclosed sum

Deals in the pipeline:

Mining group Anglo American plc has launched the sale of its building materials business Tarmac

Construction support services company Alfred McAlpine is planning to split in two with a demerger of its infrastructure and business services divisions

The Wireless Infrastructure Company is to buy the sites of SEE Telecommunications from Scottish and Southern Energy plc for £79 million

SABMiller plc’s Poland-based subsidiary Kompania Piwowarska SA is to acquire Brower Belgia sp from Palm Breweries of Belgium for about €65 million (£44.1 million), expanding the brewery group
