Tadcaster Inns secures £20 million
Entrepreneur Jim Walsh has pledged £20 million to fund the expansion of Tadcaster Inns – a division of the Tadcaster Pub Company.
Three recent purchases signal the beginning of a 35 building acquisition spree by the company, with 14 traditional hotels in the North and Midlands next on the list.
The acquisitions are a part of a five-year plan to buy and renovate the hotels, with investment and management support by Tadcaster Pub Company.
“Some of our outlets have been acquired from owner-managers who wanted to continue running their businesses but just didn’t have the resources to invest in the property,” Walsh said.
Managing director James Crawfurd-Porter will continue expanding the Tadcaster Pub Company, building on its current 67 pubs throughout the North and Midlands.
