Micro Focus International buys rival
Done Deals
- Micro Focus International Plc, a Berkshire-based software company, has acquired the Compuware Testing and ASQ Business from Compuware Corporation for $80 million (£53.2 million) in cash.
- Scunthorpe-based insurance company Broker Direct has completed the acquisition of rival Barry Fenton Insurance Brokers for an undisclosed sum.
- QinetiQ Group Plc, a London-based defence consultancy business, has acquired Cyveillance, a US provider of online monitoring technology, for $40 million (£26.6 million). Read more
- Smaller company investment bank Hanson Westhouse is coming onto AIM through the reverse takeover of Jersey-based SovGem. Read more
- New York-based computer company IBM has acquired data discovery software specialist Exeros. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
- Sarnova, a US-based distributor of healthcare products, has acquired Blue Ridge Medical, a supplier of pharmaceuticals. The details of the deal were not disclosed.
- Thermo Fisher Scientific, a US-based specialist in laboratory equipment, has acquired Biolab, a supplier of analytical instruments, life science consumables and laboratory equipment in Australia and New Zealand for AU$175 million (£86 million).
