• Aberdeen-based oil company Dana Petroleum Plc has acquired Canada-based oil and natural gas company Bow Valley Energy Ltd. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

• Genetix Group Plc, a Hampshire-based cell imaging and analysis group, has acquired SlidePath Limited, a Dublin-based telepathology and bioinformatics company for up to £3.3 million. Read more

• The Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc has agreed to sell its 50% shareholding in Linea Directa Aseguradora (LDS), a Spain-based motor insurance company, to LDS's joint venture partner, Bankinter, for €426 million (£378.1 million).

• Westinghouse Electric UK Limited has agreed to acquire a 52 percent stake in Nuclear Fuel Industries, a Japan-based producer of nuclear fuel for both boiling-water and pressurized-water reactors. The acquisition is expected to complete in May.]

• US financial technology company Capital Markets Technologies has agreed to acquire niche payments consulting firm The Sepa Consultancy for an undisclosed sum.
