Contract Fire Security snaps up local firm

Done Deals

  • Sutton Coldfield-based Contract Fire Security has acquired local rival Premier Planned Maintenance for an undisclosed sum. The combined entity will trade as Fire and Safety Services.
  • Brighton and Hove-based IFA company Skerritt Consultants has acquired London rival Huntington Investments for an undisclosed sum. Read more

  • XCounter AB, a Swedish technology company, has acquired a 49.8 per cent stake in Finnish rival Oy AJAT for up to €4.45 million (£3.1 million).
  • US private equity firm Carousel Capital has acquired South Carolina packaging company Copec, in partnership with packaging executive Jerry Lux. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
  • Israeli technology company Aladdin Knowledge Systems has been acquired by an investor group led by Vector Capital, a US private equity firm specialising in the technology industry. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
  • Norfolk-based ARW Wealth Managers has merged with local mortgage advisers Hayden Jones Mortgage Services for an undisclosed sum.
  • German retailer Metro Group has acquired a controlling stake in British firm 24-7 Entertainment, which supplies technology used in music downloads. No financial details of the deal were provided.

  • London-based Premier Oil Plc has agreed to acquire Oilexco North Sea (ONS), an oil and gas exploration and development company, for $505 million (£346 million) in cash. Read more
