• California-based National Semiconductor has acquired Act Solar, a US solar power technology company. The details of the transaction were not disclosed.

• SpecTec Group, a supplier of IT products for the shipping industry, has acquired a 20 per cent share in MarineXChange Software GmbH, a provider of enterprise resource management software to the cruise industry. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

• German logistics company Dachser has acquired a ten per cent share in the Spanish rival Azkar, for an undisclosed sum.

• Fiberweb Plc, a London-based supplier of non-woven fabrics, has acquired Nordenia International AC’s 50 per cent stake in Coronor Composites GmbH, a manufacturer of fabrics, for some €3.1 million (£2.9 million). Read More
