e-trader acquires Koodos
Online bulk and surplus stock business e-trader group has acquired online fashion retailer Koodos for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition of London-based Koodos adds a fashion clearance business to the group's existing business stockshifters.com. The UK bulk, overstock, and clearance market is thought to be worth some £14 billion annually.
Harvey Sinclair, CEO of e-trader group, said: 'koodos.com is a well-respected and recognised consumer brand, with a large database of loyal customers and strong relationships with over 200 fashion brands. This acquisition enables e-trader to broaden its offering to retailers and manufacturers looking for a more efficient channel for their overstocks and clearance.'
e-trader group was formerly called Business Auctions and was backed by venture capital firm Elderstreet. The company was sold in a management buy-in led by Sinclair in November 2008.
