Byotrol acquires ByoFresh
Hygiene specialist Byotrol has acquired Cheshire-based pet care business ByoFresh for up to £1.75 million.
ByoFresh provides pet grooming and hygiene products and was an early adopter of Byotrol's hygiene technology. The company saw a rise in sales of 78 per cent to £657,000 and an increase in gross profits of 12 per cent to £158,000 in the year to June 2009.
David McRobbie, chief executive of Byotrol, says the group has been working closely with ByoFresh for a number of years and recognises the potential it has in the pet care market.
In the six months ending September 2009, Byotrol reported revenue of £2 million and pre-tax losses of £590,000.
