Loss Management buys E-Register
Loss Management Group, a specialist in handling insurance claims for lost or stolen jewellery and collectables, has acquired rival E-Register for £300,000 from Helphire Group Plc.
Martin Ward, managing director of Helphire, commented: “Helphire’s strategy has become increasingly focused on its core accident management business and, as a result, it has been necessary to find a partner that is better aligned to the needs of E-Register’s business and those of its valued customers. E-Register’s new home will be with another jewellery business where it will be a better fit.”
In the six months ended 31 December 2008, Helphire reported an increase in revenues of 10.3 per cent to £202.9 million, with pre-tax profits of £3 million.
