Safetoeat gets £250,000
The UK’s only manufacturer of allergy-free foods has received a six-figure investment to develop its business. Safetoeat secured the £250,000 from Catapult Venture Managers.
Safetoeat’s products eliminate ingredients that account for most peoples’ allergies such as milk, eggs, fish, nuts, soya, shellfish and wheat.
Following the completion of the funding Catapult, which made its investment through its East Midlands Regional Venture Capital Fund, has introduced Peter McPhillips as non-executive chairman with Martyn Fray as non-executive director.
Catapult director Graham Mold said the company has potential. “We have all seen the supermarkets allocating more space to healthier food products because that is what consumers are demanding.”
