MBO is perfect fit for Sandoms
Two directors at a shop-fitting company in Yorkshire have bought the business after raising a seven-figure sum.
Sandoms, which supports companies such as Thorntons, Specsavers and Pizza Express, is now owned by managing director Garry Clark and head of finance Chris Sutcliffe.
The buy-out was completed after the Yorkshire & Humber Equity Fund (YHEF) and Partnership Investment Finance provided £350,000, with invoice discounting provided by Calvin Dexter at Sandoms’ existing funder Cattles.
YHEF, which has taken a minority stake in the business, was led by investment manager Paul Betts and director Mark Hunter.
Betts said the fund has backed an experienced management team and a growing company. “The business has developed several long-term relationships with some leading high street names and has some exciting new prospects.”
Batley-based Sandoms, which was established in 1964, provides shop-fitting services to retailers from original concept and design to final fit-out. The company also manufactures units and counter displays.
