Funding boost for Albion
A Merseyside-based business that provides niche insurance services to the legal sector is to expand after receiving a six-figure investment. Albion Legal Services, which offers its services to solicitors specialising in employment and health and safety law, has secured £650,000.
The funding included £350,000 from Merseyside Special Investment Fund and enabled Albion to buy-out its underwriting partners.
Albion's chief executive Mike White said: “The money from MSIF is crucial to our expansion plans. We now plan to take on around 35 additional sales staff and base them in some of our existing clients’ practices.”
