Qire receives £650,000
UK provider of voice messaging services Qire has received £650,000 from private equity firm Maven Capital Partners, investing on behalf of the Capital for Enterprise Fund (CfE).
The investment will be used to support the growth strategy of Qire, which employs 20 staff at offices in Liverpool.
Guy Cooper, CEO at Qire, said that the fundraising would provide the company with the stability to develop its position in the utility, financial and healthcare sectors in a difficult financial climate.
The Manchester office of law firm DLA Piper advised Maven, and accountancy firm Langtons provided due diligence services for the investment.
The £75 million CfE Fund is a government-backed initiative aimed at investing in small to medium-sized businesses. The fund allocated £30 million to Maven in April last year.
