Centrica acquires Econergy stake
Done Deals
- British Gas owner Centrica Plc has acquired a 19 per cent share of rival Econergy, for a cash consideration of £1 million.
- US-based Research Technology International has acquired the film scanning and film recording equipment business of Japan’s Imagica Technologies Corp for an undisclosed sum.
- Fidelity National Information Services, a US-based provider of payment services to the banking sector has acquired rival Metavante Technologies. The size of the deal has not been disclosed.
- US-based solar module manufacturer First Solar has acquired OptiSolar’s photovoltaic project pipeline for an undisclosed sum.
- US mobile social networks Limbo and Brightkite have merged. The details of the deal remain undisclosed.
- Homeware retailer Robert Dyas has completed a management buy-out, led by CEO Steven Round and non-executive chairman and restructuring expert Ian Gray. The deal was backed by existing lenders Lloyds and Allied Irish Bank. Read more
