US company Agere Systems has acquired electronic circuits company Ireland-based Massana for $26.2 million, while brand management firm Charteredbrands has undergone a management buy-out.

Salamander Energy Plc, an oil and gas exploration and production company focused on Asia, has acquired interests in certain Indonesian assets from Serica Energy Plc for $52.75 million (£26.7 million)
