Porvair buys Seal
for £3.8m

  • BT Plc has bought online business directory Ufindus for £20 million cash
  • Nightclub operator Gatecrasher has acquired the 2,400-capacity Birmingham club The Works
  • William Jackson Food Group has bought rival prepared fruit and vegetable supplier Solway Veg
  • Heaps & Partners, a specialist in fluid control equipment such as valves and actuators for all sectors, namely energy and chemical, has undergone a management buy-out
  • Giles Insurance has bought its third competitor in a month, Carrick Neill & Co, a specialist in professional indemnity and insurance for golfers
  • Equity Insurance Group has bolstered its offering through the acquisition of Kents Insurance Brokers, marking its 18th acquisition in the past 12 months
  • Canadian company Linamar Corporation has purchased Visteon’s car parts plant in order to bolster its services in the UK
  • Office water cooler supplier Princes Gate Cool Water has bought rival company Porthcawl Water Company
