Marston's drinks to Dorset deal
Pub operator Marston’s has bought the Inn on the Chase, a country pub in the village of Cashmoor, Dorset.
The freehold gastro pub, which had a turnover of some £300,000 last year, was acquired for £845,000 as part of Marston’s strategy to expand its estate across the country.
Owners Peter and Nicky Gregory have sold the business after three years to pursue other commercial interests.
Smith Partnership solicitors acted for Marston’s on the acquisition. The team was led by Peter Smith, partner in the firm’s licensed and leisure property division that represents a number of clients in the sector.
Smith said: “We have a specialised team involved in acquisitions working to deadlines in what is a competitive environment for our clients.”
