Intempo secures development capital
Consumer electronics specialist Intempo Digital is to develop its products in growing technology fields, such as Internet radio and Bluetooth, after securing £11.8 million.
The company received the funding from Leeds-based fund manager YFM Private Equity and will also use to the finance to expand its distribution into Europe, the US and Asia.
Intempo Digital, which was established in 2003, designs, develops and markets a range of iPod docking stations, DAB digital radios and speaker systems.
YFM investment manager Deborah Heyes told local reporters: “YFM Private Equity was first involved with Intempo at an early stage of its development and has been supportive throughout. It’s a great company with a fantastic growth story.”
