Broadband Computer Company raises £1.5 million
The Broadband Computer Company is to develop hardware and software to make using computers easier after securing a new investment.
The Tyneside-based company has received £1.5 million from NorthStar Equity Investors and business angels.
Broadband’s legal adviser was Peter Blake-Turner, a senior partner at Blake-Turner, who was supported by Paul Cooper and tax specialist Judith McMillan who restructured the business before it received the investment.
Blake-Turner said the project had several difficulties and the deal changed on numerous occasions. “The client has produced an innovative, if not unique, approach to the delivery of broadband services. It is exciting and fresh and the company will no doubt produce results which reward the faith shown in it at this early stage by the venture capitalists and angels.”
