Cybit buys Amatics and all today's headlines

In today's headlines Carter & Carter has bagged Blackwater House for £1 million and Venture Production looks to snap up WHAM Energy for £14 million.

Done deals:

Fossil fuel extraction services and equipment supplier Cape has supplemented its services with the purchase of TCC Group of Australia for an initial A$20 million (£8.2 million)

Private equity firm Phoenix Equity Partners has netted a majority stake in family-run sailing clothes maker Musto for about £10 million in cash

Food group Glendale Foods has swallowed pie and pudding marketing and branding firm Great British Pudding Company for an undisclosed sum

Chemical technology company St Andrews ChemTech International has undergone a management buy-out for undisclosed terms

Cybit Holdings has bolstered its telematics operations after buying Amatics for £4 million

Outsourced services and vocational learning provider Carter & Carter has acquired vocational training firm Blackwater House for £1 million

Building contractor Claydon Associates, which has 26 staff, has gone into administration through BKC Business Recovery

Ecotricity has raised £32 million of funding to build five new wind farms in Lincolnshire, Somerset, Bristol, Shipton and Manchester

Solar heating manufacturer and supplier Thermomax has been bought out of
administration by building products business Kingspan Group for undisclosed terms

Deals in the pipeline:

Construction company Northern Bear is looking to double the three acquisitions it has already made this year after raising £3.15 million from a share placing on AIM

Healthcare product provider MDY Healthcare is to inject £3 million of expansion capital into natural, botanical and plant extract supplier William Ransom & Son as part of a joint venture

Berkeley Scott is to boost its recruitment services firm with the £28 million purchase of rival Quantica

Gas and oil distributor DCC of Ireland is set to bolster its operations with the purchase of CPL Petroleum for £50 million

Venture Production is to snap up WHAM Energy for £14 million, adding to its oil and gas exploration services
