Careforce strengthens through Claremont acquisition
Domiciliary care provider Careforce has strengthened its operations after it bought Claremont Golcar, which trades as Britannia Care.
The deal could be worth more than £1 million with £800,000 paid in cash on completion. Up to £280,000 will be paid if Britannia achieves agreed performance targets in the next 12 months.
Careforce’s chairman, Mike Rogers, said: “This is our first acquisition since Mears acquired Careforce and we are pleased to be continuing with our policy of consolidation within the industry. The acquisition of Britannia strengthens our position in southeast Lancashire and extends our geographical coverage in to a new local authority area of Rochdale.”
Careforce was advised by Wedlake Bell, whose team was led by corporate partner Tony Lane.
