Done deals:

• Support services group Mouchel Parkman has entered the business process outsourcing market after buying Hyder Business Services from private equity firm Terra Firma for £46.2 million

• Leisure operator, developer and investor Clerkenwell Venture has completed a second round fund raising of £25.6 million to pursue acquisitions

• Beacon Graphics has extended its print services with the purchase of Vision Print & Design for an undisclosed sum

• Entrepreneur Tony Wilson has bought US-based vehicle exhaust manufacturer ArvinMeritor’s European subsidiary for more than £10 million

• Modus Private Equity has backed insurance administrator Fish Administration with £11.4 million of development capital

• Electronic manufacturer Elektron plc has bought engineering components maker Sifam for an initial £2 million in cash

• Integrated IT and communications service provider Glen Group has acquired IT professional services and value added reseller inGroup for £1.35 million

• Marketing company Twenty has bought e-commerce specialist provider Ominor for up to £7.9 million

• Securitas has added to its cash handling business with the acquisition of Brink’s Incorporated for undisclosed terms

Deals in the pipeline:

• China Goldmines, the gold mining company launched by entrepreneur Karl Watkin, is to raise more than £1.2 million by placing 900,000 shares on AIM

• Homeserve is looking to expand its property repair and emergency claims business with the acquisition of Reparalia of Spain for undisclosed terms

• Engineering group IMI has agreed to acquire 70% of Switzerland-based indoor water conditioning manufacturer Pneumatix for £15.5 million

• Adult content to mobile phones provider Interactive World has bought publisher Sports Newspapers for some £50 million in a reverse takeover
