In today's headlines deals signed off include venture capital group YFM's £20 million secondary management buy-out of shipping and logistics specialist RMS Group.

Done deals:

Aerial Facilities, owned by venture capitalist firm ECI Partners, has acquired its Swedish-based rival Avitec AB for £24 million

Private equity firm 3i has acquired independent investment managers and financial adviser Bestinvest for undisclosed terms

Venture capital group YFM has backed the secondary management buy-out of shipping and logistics specialist RMS Group in a £20 million deal

Private equity firm ISIS Equity Partners has backed the management buy-out of primary care medical supplier Williams Medical Supplies for an undisclosed sum

Printing firm Impress has been bought by its management in a deal backed by RBS and Fusion Corporate Finance for undisclosed terms

King West has announced a three-way merger with fellow chartered surveyors John Martin & Associates and Blacklee Smith for undisclosed terms

National insurance broker and financial services group Smart & Cook has acquired care specialist BA Insurance Group in its 53^rd acquisition for undisclosed terms

Irish wealth management firm Jaguar Capital’s London Thames Court offices have been acquired for £183 million by an unknown purchaser

Deals about to happen…

Project management and services company AMEC plc is to acquire a 60% stake in Kazakhstan-based oil field services firm Batys Kazakhstan Kuat Service for £5 million

German-based lender Hypo Real Estate is set to acquire Depfa Bank of Dublin, valuing the company at €5.7 million (£3.8 million)

Electronics company Filtronic is in talks to sell its loss-making Northeast plant for undisclosed terms

Property investors UK Balanced Property Trust is to sell its entire property portfolio to GE Real Estate for £417.5 million

Media company Emap is to sell 50% of its Box Television business to broadcaster Channel 4 for £28 million
