In today's headlines, completed deals include Rentokil Initial acquiring cleaning and support services provider Lancaster Office Cleaning for £19 million and Mitchells Chartered Accountants acquiring rival Tee & Company.

Done deals:

Marine consultant and ocean engineer Noble Denton has acquired oil services company Poseidon Maritime for £2.4 million

Hygiene and safety solutions company Rentokil Initial has acquired cleaning and support services provider Lancaster Office Cleaning Company for £19 million

Mitchells Chartered Accountants has acquired rival Tee & Company for an undisclosed sum

Ontrac has merged with brand development company Dutton Merrifield to create a combined marketing group, for undisclosed terms

Offshore Hydrocarbon Mapping has raised £13 million from the sale of an equity stake to oil and gas services provider CGG Veritas of France, funding the expansion of its exploration-technology business

UFD has been bought out of administration by fellow logistics company Ramage Distribution for undisclosed terms

William Thompson, an animal feed company, has undergone a management buy-out for undisclosed terms

Early stage venture capital fund IQ Capital has led an undisclosed funding round in corporate mobile phone solutions company OnRelay

US-based food company Heinz is considering selling its frozen desserts business

Boston-based investment management company Aisi Realty Capital’s subsidiary, Aisi Realty Public, which invests in Ukrainian property, is set to float on AIM and raise an undisclosed sum

Romag is to raise £7.7 million in a share placing to fund the development and expansion of its glass production operation

Napthens is planning to merge with Wallwork & Company for undisclosed terms, creating a law firm with 28 partners

Tate & Lyle is to sell its European starch operations to sugar producer Tereos of France for £209 million

Trinity Mirror’s Berkshire Regional Newspapers and 14 titles are to be acquired by Berkshire Media Group for £10 million

UK coal is considering a £50 million investment at the Thoresby Colliery, in order to expand coal production

Guernsey-based property investor Lewis Charles Romania Property Fund is set to float onto AIM at the end of July and raise an undisclosed amount

Holiday park operator Parkdean Holidays has announced plans to purchase a further 20 sites in the next two years, following its recent £80 million acquisition of Weststar Holidays

Chiltern Trains is being sold by its operator Laing Rail for an undisclosed sum

Woburn Ventures, an investment vehicle set up by the management of Waterline Group plc, is considering making an offer for Waterline, a kitchen supplier with a market cap of £8.3 million
