Venture backs St Martin Vintners buy-out
St Martin Vintners, an independent wine specialist and importer, has been bought by its management in a deal backed by Venture Finance.
The invoice and asset-based lender supported the buy-out with a package comprising confidential invoice discounting and cash flow and stock loans.
St Martin Vintners’ co-director Andy Rice said invoice discounting was the ideal way to release money through the debtor book. “However, it was Venture’s understanding of the potential of the business and their appetite to provide stock and cash flow loans in excess of the debtor book that made them the obvious and only choice.
“Spofforths Accountants recommended Venture Finance to us and we were happy to take their advice as Venture offered the best financial package.”
