Private fashion sale
Private equity fund KCAJ has bought independent fashion chain Limeys for an undisclosed sum.
Limeys, which has seven stores across the UK, will now be managed by Glasgow-based retailer Cruise, which is also owned by KCAJ.
A spokeswoman for Cruise said: “As far as we’re concerned it is simply a change of ownership and it will be very much business as usual for Limeys. There are no plans to cut jobs or close any of its outlets. Neither are there plans to alter any of the ranges that they sell.”
Despite the management changeover, Limeys will continue to operate under its existing brand.
Limeys, which was launched in Derby more than 40 years ago, has annual gross profits of almost £1.8 million, an increase of 48.4% on the previous year.
KCAJ is a private equity fund focused on the retail sector. It has interests in several leading retailers including Duchamp, Ghost, Jones the Bootmaker, Harvey Aimes and Cruise.
