Town Centre Restaurants acquired
Town Centre Restaurants, which has more than 50 outlets across the UK, has been acquired by Gresham Private Equity in a deal worth £48 million. Clydesdale Bank provided the debt to support the company’s growth plans.
The business – which encompasses three brands, Café Giardino, a counter service operation with 42 units in shopping malls across the country as well as 13 mid-market Italian and French units, Azzurro and Auberge respectively – is poised to thrive.
Paul Argent, director, Specialist & Acquisition Finance, led the Clydesdale Bank team. “Clydesdale Bank is delighted to be involved in the financing of the acquisition of Town Centre Restaurants and we look forward to playing our part in helping the group achieve its growth aspirations,” he said.
“Our long term relationship approach is core to the bank’s offer and this was an important consideration for Gresham and the management team.”
